To begin a new career retire your current superstar or complete the game. All of the superstar's attributes will be retained for future exhibition or career play. Quick attacks like punches are done by pressing 5. Hold 5 to do stronger attacks, like chop. Sometimes other attacks replace punch and chop if you double tap (2,8,4,6) to run. Do a clothesline by pressing 5. To grab. press 1. Follow up by quickly pressing 2,4,6 or 8 to do a grapple strike or hold 2,4,6 or 8 to do a grapple slam. You can also whip by pressing 5. When attacks inflict damage it is shown by a red bar at the top of the screen; As health is lost it becomes difficult to wrestle. When an attack lands you gain momentum. Shown by a blue bar at the top of the screen. When your momentum is full perform a finisher by pressing 1. Landing attacks will begin combos which earn you extra momentum. Normally a combo of three is possible; A grapple strike can extend a combo to four. A grapple slam will increase. But also end a combo. While a combo is active. New momentum is shown in a lighter blue and can be stolen if an attack is reversed. Many attacks can be reversed; watch the hud and press 5 when prompted to perform a reversal. After wrestling for a long time fatigue can occur and you are prompted to hold 0 to recover stamina. Stamina is shown by an orange bar at the top of the screen. While fatigued your superstar will move slower. Your attacks will deal less damage and you are move vulnerable to pin and submission attempts. Most matchups are won by pining or submitting the opponent; when the opponent is on the ground hold 1 to attempt a pin or submission. If a match ends in disqualification. No winner is declared.
