The story begins in 1280 in Scotland. We learn the story of the legendary national hero William Wallace, who has devoted himself to the struggle with the English under King Edward the Longshanks. Being a child he lost his father, who died at the hands of the English; his uncle Argyll took him to himself and gave him a good education in Europe. William returned to his homeland as a grown man, yearning to have a family and live a peaceful life. But fate ordered otherwise. His bride was killed by Englishmen, and he began his crusade for freedom. He knew victories and defeats, friendship, love and betrayal.
So you are to lead a long bloody war with the British in the struggle for the independence of Scotland. However, it is necessary to gather uncoordinated clans of proud Highlanders first (each clan has its own distinctive features - some trade better, some clan has particularly fierce warriors).
