The game takes place these days, and the main opponents in the game are the gangs of terrorists and immigrants from the Soviet Union. The main villain of the game is Zahaev. He has a horrible aim - to come back to the times of Soviet Union, uniting all the possible and impossible republics and autonomies. USA will never permit making that and Zakaev is well aware. That is why he finances terrorist activities in the Middle East as a diversionary tactics, for the gunmen under command of his ally Al-Assad to commit acts of intimidation in their region and in America. But Zakayev left out one thing- his actions are well-known not only to the U.S. government, but also to the leadership of Britain and Russia. It is clear that all three of the aforementioned parties will try to not let the plans of the psychopath to come true. The player will watch the events of Call of Duty 4 with the eyes of: British agent, Russian special squad soldier and American soldiers.
